MY APPROACH

My goal is to help both individuals and couples become "unstuck' from old patterns and develop the tools to live a more satisfying life. I also believe in the power and importance of relationships, particularly the idea that forming mutually satisfying relationships with others is a key component of emotional well-being. By forming relationships with each other, we can examine traits, patterns and behaviors that may give us insight into how you relate to key members in your life (or people you wish to attract into your life). 
Identifying the origins of emotional struggles is only one component of therapy. Together we will also work to find ways to cope with life's many challenges, including self-esteem issues, emotional distress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and life transitions. The goal is for clients to develop the skills necessary to navigate through life's challenges even after our work has concluded.
 

Each of us has a unique and complex personal story that has led us to where we are in life. I am interested in learning about you and your story. I employ a collaborative approach in a safe, caring and nonjudgmental space. My style is direct, practical, and compassionate, with as much humor as possible.
